3RD ANNUAL CONFERENCE & TRAINING DAY

JUNE 23 & 24, 2017 | BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY

Outcomes: With the success comes growth and expansion. The 3rd annual conference will take on the name Western States Conference on Suicide and will build on the successes of the 2 previous conferences by welcoming neighboring states as a Northwest Regional Conference of distinction: WA, ID, MT, OR, NV, UT and WY. We aim to provide updates about suicide prevention efforts and measures affecting the geographic areas of the Pacific NW. Participants will leave the conference with a better knowledge of how they impact prevention, what Zero Suicide means, models of success and resiliency, and how each can implement facets from the conference into their own lives and professions.

  • Professionals will gain knowledge of tools, strategies and processes for screening, assessment and management of those at risk of suicide.
  • Laypeople will learn the basics of suicidal behavior, how to become involved in their communities and what recent suicide loss survivors and their friends can expect.
